Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 1st month 21st 1871.
Our beloved Friend Nathan Morris, a minister, and Abagail his wife now returned the minute granted them in 10th month last. After having attended to the service to the peace and satisfaction of their minds which is satisfactory to this Meeting.
Our beloved friend Nathan Morris, a minister, and Abagail his wife laid before this Meeting a concern to visit all the families and parts of families belonging to Spring Grove Monthly Meeting. After a time of weighty deliberation thereon, much unity was expressed with them and they left at liberty to attend thereto as best wisdom may direct.
(P 19) The Preparative Meeting informs this meeting that Martha Dunbar (formerly Edwards) has accomplished her marriage contrary to discipline. Rebecca E. Butler and Mary Beals are appointed to visit her on account thereof and report to next meeting.
The minutes on the state of society have been read in this meeting to the encouragement of the Meeting.
The clerk and assistant clerk's time having expired, Mary Wasson, Abigail Morris and Amelia C. Butler are appointed to bring forwarded to next meeting the name of a suitable Friend to serve the meeting as clerk and one for an assistant for the ensuing year.
The meeting concludes.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 2nd month 18th 1871.
The first, 2nd and 8th queries with corresponding answers to them have been read in this meeting which are directed to be forwarded to the approaching Quarterly Meeting by Sarah K. Grant, Amelia C. Butler, Celia Morris and Abigail Morris whom we appoint our representatives and direct them to report to next meeting.
(P 20) Our Friend, Nathan Morris, a minister, and Abigail his wife now informs this Meeting they have attended to the service they were liberated to attend to last month in company with other Friends, having visited 20 families and 23 parts of families, leaving only 7 families unvisited on account of remoteness and other disabilities to the peace and comfort of their own minds which is satisfactory to this Meeting.
The committee appointed last month to visit Martha Dunbar report they had an opportunity with her and that she still wishes to retain her right in Society which is satisfactory to the Meeting. Delilah Hayworth and Ann White are appointed to inform her of the judgment of the Meeting in her case and report to next meeting.
The Friends appointed last month to bring forward to this meeting the names of suitable Friends to serve the Meeting as clerk and assistant report they have paid some attention to the subject of their appointment but are not fully ready to report yet. They are continued and directed to report next meeting.
Oliver Butler and Rebecca his wife with their minor children request our certificate of rights of their membership to be conveyed to Springfield Monthly Meeting. Sarah K. Grant and Abigail Morris are appointed to make necessary inquiry; and if they find nothing to hinder, to prepare and produce one to next meeting.
(P 21) The Friends of Lane and vicinity request the privilege of holding a meeting for worship on first day at 11 o'clock and fifth day, also a preparative on fifth day preceding the third seventh day in each month. This Meeting unites with the request and directs it to Quarterly Meeting.
The Epistle from London General Meeting of Women Friends and also one from Dublin have been read in this meeting to our strength and encouragement.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Friends Women held 3rd month 14th 1871.
The representatives report one of them attended.
The Friends continued last month to make selections of clerks propose the name of Sarah K. Grant for Clerk and Mary Jones for an assistant with which this Meeting unites and they are appointed accordingly.
The Friends appointed to inform Martha Dunbar of the judgment of the Meeting her case report it attended to.

(P 24) ... minor children, Carrie, Evaline, Nettie, Louella and Libby Ann Morris from Pleasant Plain Monthly Meeting held 2nd month 11th 1871.
A certificate was received, read and accepted conveying to this Meeting the right of membership of Ruth Heston and her minor son David William from Pleasant Plain Monthly Meeting of Friends bearing date 2nd month 11th 1871.
A certificate was received, read and accepted conveying to this Meeting the right of membership of Elam F. Jones from Pleasant Plain Monthly Meeting of Friends, Iowa, held 2nd month 11th 1871.
A certificate was received, read and accepted conveying to this Meeting the right of membership of Susannah Hocket from Pleasant Plain Monthly Meeting, Iowa, bearing date 2nd month 11th 1871.
A certificate was received, read and accepted conveying to this Meeting the right of membership of Sidna Pickett and her minor children, David, Benjamin, Rebecca, Mary and Patrick Henry from Pleasant Plain Monthly Meeting, Iowa, bearing date 2nd month 11th 1871.
(P 25) A certificate was received, read and accepted conveying to this Meeting the right of membership of Mordecai Ellis and Eliza Jane his wife with their minor children, Lydia E., Mary L. and James S., from Pleasant Plain Monthly Meeting, Iowa, bearing date 2nd month 11th 1871.
Abigail Morris, Mary Beals and Delilah Hayworth are appointed in conjunction with a similar committee of Men Friends to visit those Friends whose certificate we have just received and accepted and report to next meeting.
Abigail Morris, Mary Beals and Ann White are appointed to bring forward to next meeting the names of suitable Friends to fill the station of Overseers for this meeting.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 7th month 15th 1871.
A part of the Quarterly Meeting's committee appointed in the 6th month in consideration of an extract received from the Yearly Meeting of Ministers and Elders, also in conjunction with a committee appointed by Quarterly Meeting of Ministers and Elders have attended this Meeting, producing minutes of their appointments whose company and gospel labors have been satisfactory.
(P 26) The committee appointed last month to visit those Friends whose certificates have just received not being ready to report are continued and directed to report to next meeting.
The Friends appointed last month to propose to this Meeting the names of 2 suitable Friends to serve as overseers for Lane Preparative Meeting propose the names of Sarah Hunt and Ann White with which this Meeting unites and they are appointed accordingly.
The Preparative Meeting informs this Meeting that Marilda Duncan, family Bales (Beals), has accomplished her marriage contrary to discipline. Abigail Morris and Louise Dunbar are appointed to visit her on account thereof and report to next meeting.
Lane Preparative Meeting informs this Meeting that John and Lydia Watson request to be joined in membership with Friends, also their minor children John and Thomas Watson. Amelia C. Butler, Sarah Hunt and Lydia Coffin are appointed to visit them on account thereof and report to next meeting.
(P 27) Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 8th month 19th 1871.
Our beloved Friend Nathan Morris, a minister, laid before this Meeting a concern that has rested with weight upon his mind to visit in the love of the gospel North Carolina Yearly Meeting. Also to appoint some meetings as way may open from it within the limits of Iowa, Western Indiana and North Carolina Yearly Meetings. This Meeting unites with him in the concern and he is left at liberty to attend thereto as best wisdom may direct.
All the queries with corresponding answers to them have been read in this meeting which are directed to be forwarded to the approaching Quarterly Meeting by Amelia C. Butler, Abigail Morris and Sarah Hunt, whom we appoint our representatives and direct them to report to next meeting.
The general advices have been read in this meeting.
The committee appointed last month to visit Marilda Duncan, family Bales (Beals), for accomplishing her marriage contrary to discipline report they had an opportunity with her and that she wishes to retain her right (of membership).
(P 28) A certificate was received, read and accepted conveying to this meeting the right of membership of Sarah Winder from Springfield Monthly Meeting bearing date 7th month 8th 1871.
The first day school committee not being ready to report are continued and directed to report next meeting.
The committee appointed on account of John and Lydia Watson's request have made the following satisfactory report. The Meeting is united in receiving them as members.

The clerk not being present, Sarah Henley was appointed clerk for the day.
The Friends appointed last meeting to attend the Quarterly Meeting as representatives report 2 of them attended. There was nothing given them for this Meeting.
Sarah Henley and Ann White are appointed to inform Mary Duncan the proceeding of the Meeting her case and report to next meeting.
The meeting concludes.
