(P 61) Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 4th month 20th 1872.
The Friends appointed to bring forward names of Friends to serve as clerk and assistant propose the names of Cynthia Holaday as clerk and Louisa Dunbar assistant with whom this Meeting united and they were appointed accordingly.
Our beloved Friend Isaac Jay, a minister, acceptably attended this Meeting with satisfactory credentials from Mississinewa Monthly Meeting of Friends, Indiana, dated 3rd month 6th 1872.
Our beloved Friend Nathan Coggshell, an elder, acceptably attended this Meeting as companion of our Friend Isaac Jay and produced credentials from Monthly Meeting aforesaid.
John Watson and wife request a certificate of their right of membership and that of their minor children conveyed to Springfield Monthly Meeting of Friends, Kansas. Sarah K. Grant and Amelia C. Butler are appointed in conjunction with a like committee of Men Friends to inquire concerning them according to discipline; and if they find no obstruction, prepare and produce one to next meeting.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 5th month 18th 1872.
The 1st, 2nd and 8th queries were read in this meeting and answers thereto from the preparative meetings of which the following summary was taken.
1st: All our meetings for worship and discipline have been attended by most of our members, a few are remiss in this important duty; unbecoming behavior mostly avoided; the hour of meeting nearly observed.

2nd: Friends are preserved in Christian love one toward another as far as appears. No tale bearing or detraction amongst us that we know of.
8th: There has been no cases requiring dealings under the 8th query.
Sarah Henley, Mary Beals and Cynthia Holaday are appointed as representatives to attend the ensuing Quarterly Meeting. They are requested to report to next meeting what may be given them from the Quarterly Meeting.
The committee appointed last month to prepare a certificate for John Watson and family reported they found nothing to hinder, produced one which was read, approved and signed.
Sarah K. Grant and Abigail Morris are appointed to attend Quarterly Meeting as caretakers. They are directed to report to next meeting an account of their attendance and order thereof.
A certificate was received, read, and accepted conveying to this Meeting right of membership of Catherine M. Johnson and minor children--Minnie Alma and Lelia Eveline--from Springfield Monthly Meeting dated 3rd month 14th 1872. A certificate was received, read, and accepted for Charles Johnson from Springfield Monthly Meeting dated 3rd month 14th 1872.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 6th month 15th 1872.
The Friends appointed as representatives report they all attended. There was nothing given them in charge. The Friends appointed as caretakers to the Quarterly Meeting report they attended and the order was good.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 7th month 20th 1872. The clerk not being present, Mary Morris was appointed clerk for the day.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 8th month 17th 1872. The clerk being absent, Sarah J. Wygant was appointed clerk for the day.
(P 63) The queries were read in this meeting with answers thereto in writing from the Preparative Meeting from which a summary was taken, which was approved and directed to be forwarded to the Quarterly Meeting.
Sarah Cook, Abigail Morris and Sarah Wygant were appointed representatives to the Quarterly Meeting and directed to report to next meeting what may be given them in charge by the Quarter.
The advices were read. Annual answers:
1st answer - None.
2nd answer - Each family of Friends is furnished with a copy of the Holy Scriptures. There is some neglect in the daily reading of the Bible.
3rd answer-Schools are encouraged under teachers in membership with us.
4th answer - The queries are read and answered as directed.
Spring Grove Preparative Meeting informs this Meeting that Rebecca R. Averill (formerly Hayworth) has accomplished her marriage contrary to discipline. Abigail Morris and Sarah Cook are appointed to visit her on the occasion and report to next meeting.
Thomas Butler and wife request their right of membership conveyed to Springfield Monthly Meeting of Friends, Kansas. Mary Wasson and Abigail Morris are appointed in conjunction with a committee of Men Friends to inquire concerning them according to discipline; and if they find no obstructions, prepare and produce one to next meeting.
This meeting concludes.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 9th month 21st 1872. The clerk being absent, Sarah Henley was appointed clerk for the day.
The Friends appointed in last month as representatives to Quarterly Meeting reported that one of them attended. There was nothing given them in charge for this meeting.
The Friends appointed at last meeting in Rebecca Averill's case report they had an opportunity with her to good satisfaction and retain her a member. Louisa Dunbar was appointed to inform her of the judgment of the Meeting in her case, and report to next meeting.
(P 64) The Friends appointed at last meeting in the case of Thomas and Amelia Butler's request produced a certificate of removal for them, which was read, approved and signed and referred to Men Friends for further care.
A certificate was read and accepted conveying the right of membership of Celia Burkey from Vermillion Monthly Meeting of Friends, Illinois, to this Meeting, dated 5th month 3rd 1872.
A certificate of removal was read and accepted conveying to this Meeting the right of membership of John B. Gluyos from Deep River Monthly Meeting of Friends, N.C. dated 1st month 4th 1872.
Allen Hayworth requested that the right of membership of himself and that of his family be conveyed to Legrand Monthly Meeting of Friends, Iowa. Louisa Dunbar and Abigail Morris were appointed in conjunction with a like committee of Men Friends to inquire concerning them according to discipline; and if they find no obstruction, produce a certificate of removal for them as requested.
The meeting concludes.

The Friends appointed at last meeting in case of Rebecca Averill report the opportunity attended to.
A certificate of removal was received conveying to this Meeting the right of membership of Charity Ridgway from Fairmount Monthly Meeting, Grant County, Indiana, dated 9th month 18th 1872.
(P 65) The committee appointed in case of Allen Hayworth and family not being ready to report are continued to next meeting.

Mary Bales (Beals), Mary Wasson and Sarah Hunt were appointed representatives to the Quarterly Meeting and directed to report to next meeting and produce thereto what may be given them in charge by the Quarterly Meeting.
The committee continued at last meeting in case of the request of Allen Hayworth report that he wishes the request withdrawn. The committee is therefore released.
