(P 7) Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held first month 15th 1870.

Our beloved Friend Nathan Morris, a minister in good esteem with us, laid before this Meeting a concern which has impressed his mind, to visit in the love of the gospel the Meetings belonging to Spring River Quarterly Meeting, also to appoint some meetings from amongst Friends as far as way should open for it, with which this Meeting unites and encourages him to attend thereto as best wisdom may direct.

The committee continued last month to select a suitable Friend for clerk propose the name of Sarah K. Grant for clerk. The assistant clerk having requested to be released, the same committee proposed the name of Rebecca Butler for an assistant, which the Meeting unites and they are appointed accordingly.

An extract from the Quarterly Meeting requesting the Meeting to direct its report to Hesper Quarterly Meeting has been read and sanctioned by the Meeting.

The London General Epistle and also the minutes on the state of Society have been read in this Meeting to our satisfaction and encouragement of the Meeting.

(P 8) Amelia C. Butler, Elizabeth Burks, Sarah Grant, Lucinda Barnard and Mary Beals are appointed in conjunction with Men Friends to propose to next meeting the names of suitable Friends to constitute the several standing committees, Book & Tract, Education and First Day School. They are directed to report to next meeting.

The clerk not being present, Louisa Dunbar was appointed clerk for the day.

The representatives appointed to attend the last Quarterly Meeting report they all attended except two.

A certificate was received, read and accepted conveying to this Meeting the rights of membership of Martha A. Holaday with her minor children.

Spring Grove Preparative Meeting of ministers and elders requests the time of holding their meeting to be changed to sixth day preceding the Monthly in 2nd, 5th, 8th, and 12th months at 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon with which this Meeting unites.

(P 10) Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 4th month 16th 1870.

The clerk not being present, Sarah Henley is appointed clerk for the day.

Our beloved Friend, Nathan Morris, a minister, with whom we have unity, laid before the Meeting a concern that has for some time impressed his mind to visit in the love of the gospel the Meetings belonging to Cottonwood Quarterly Meetings and to appoint some meetings, going and returning within the limits of this and that Quarterly Meeting as truth may open the way, which after a time of deliberation thereon unity was expressed and he left at liberty to attend thereto as best wisdom may direct.

The Friends appointed in 7th month last to assist in preparing a certificate for Allen Hayworth and family as they have returned and settled in the limits of this meeting, the committee is released from any further service.

The representatives report that 2 of them attended the Quarterly Meeting as directed and that there was nothing given them for this meeting.

Our Friend, Nathan Morris, a minister, now returns the minute granted him in 4th month last after having accomplished the labor set forth in that minute to the peace and comfort of his mind which is satisfactory to the Meeting.

The Preparative Meeting unites in forwarding the information to this Meeting that Lucy Ellen Burks (formerly Beals) has accomplished her marriage contrary to discipline. Amelia C. Butler and Lydia Coffin are appointed to visit her on account thereof and report to next meeting.

(P 12) Abigail Morris, Delilah Hayworth, Louisa Dunbar and Martha Ann Holaday are appointed to unite with a similar committee of Men Friends and also in conjunction with the Quarterly Meeting committee to take into consideration the state of the select body and propose to next meeting the names of suitable Friends to fill the station of elders or for additions as way may open for that station. They are directed to report to next meeting.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 7th month 10th 1870.

The committee appointed last month in conjunction with a similar committee of Men Friends and the Quarterly Meeting committee to take into consideration of the State of the Elders and propose to this meeting the names of suitable Friends to fill that station unites in offering the following named Friends, Jesse Beals, Thomas Butler, Abigail Morris, Mary and Amelia C. Butler and Elizabeth Holaday with which this Meeting unites and they are appointed accordingly.

The Friends appointed last month to visit Lucy Ellen Burks (formerly Beals) for her deviation in accomplishing her marriage contrary to discipline report they have had an opportunity with her to good satisfaction and that she wishes to remain in membership with us which is satisfactory to the Meeting. Rebecca E. Butler and Sarah Henley are appointed to inform her of the judgment of the Meeting in her case and report to next meeting.

(P 13) Our Friend, Jeremiah Hadley, a minister, has very acceptably attended this Meeting producing a minute of unity and concurrence from White Lick Monthly Meeting of Friends, bearing date 1st month 22nd 1870, whose company and gospel labors have been satisfactory to us.

Solomon Edwards requests our certificate of the rights of membership of himself and minor children to be conveyed to Union Monthly Meeting, Jasper Co., Missouri. Mary Jones and Sarah Henley are appointed in conjunction with Men Friends to make necessary inquiry; and if they find nothing to hinder, prepare and produce one to next meeting.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 8th month 20th 1870.

All the queries with corresponding answers to them have been read in this meeting which are directed to be forwarded to the approaching Quarterly Meeting by Abigail Morris, Amelia C. Butler and Mary Jones whom we appoint our representatives and direct them to report to next meeting.

The general advices have been read in this meeting as directed to our strength and encouragement.

(P 14) The Friends appointed last month to inform Lucy Ellen Burks family of the judgment of the Meeting in her case report it attended to.

The overseers, having requested to be released from further service, Mary Warner, Abigail Morris, Martha Ann Holaday and Sarah K. Grant are appointed to bring forward to next (meeting) the names of suitable Friends to fill that station.

The Friends appointed last month to assist in preparing and producing a certificate for Solomon Edwards and his minor children have produced one which the Clerk is directed to sign.

The committee appointed in 2nd month last to have the care and oversight of first day Scripture Schools forward one which was satisfactory to the meeting. They are continued and directed to report in 9th month next.

(P 15) Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends to be held 9th month 17th 1870.

The Friends appointed to attend the Quarterly (Meeting) as representatives report they all attended.

The Friends appointed last month to propose to this Meeting the names of suitable Friends to fill the station of Overseers for this Meeting are united in proposing the names of Sarah Henley and Sarah K. Grant with which this Meeting unites and they are appointed accordingly.

A certificate was received, read, and accepted conveying to this Meeting the rights of membership of Elizabeth Fraziar and minor daughter Jane Fraziar from Lick Creek Monthly Meeting bearing date 7th month 16th 1870.

A certificate was received, read, and accepted conveying to this Meeting the rights of membership of Mary Fraziar from Lick Creek Monthly Meeting of friends held 7th month 16th 1870.

Clarkson Dunbar requested his right of membership removed to Union Monthly Meeting, Jasper County, Missouri. Sarah Henley and ____ _____ are appointed to inquire; and if they find nothing to hinder, prepare (a certificate) and forward to next meeting.

Our beloved Friend William _____, minister with whom we are in unity, expressed in this meeting a concern to appoint meetings within the limits of _____ and Cottonwood Monthly Meetings. After a time of deliberation, whereon unity was expressed and he left at liberty to attend thereto as best wisdom may direct.

Our beloved Friend Abagail Morris, with whom we have unity, expressed a concern to accompany her husband, Nathan Morris, with which this Meeting unites. She is encouraged to attend thereto as truth may open the way.

A certificate was received, read and accepted conveying to this Meeting the right of membership of (unreadable).

(P 17) Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 11th month 19th 1870.

Mary Bales (Beals), Abagail Morris and Amelia C. Butler are appointed to attend the approaching Quarterly Meeting as representatives and report to next meeting of their attendance and what may be given them in charge.

A certificate was received, and accepted conveying to this Meeting right of membership of Lydia Davis from Cedar Creek Monthly Meeting, Iowa, bearing date 8th month 11th, 1870.

A certificate was received, read, and accepted conveying to this Meeting the right of membership of Elizabeth Terrell from Cedar Creek Monthly Meeting, Iowa, bearing date 8th month 11th 1870.

A certificate was received, read, and accepted conveying to this Meeting the rights of membership of Silas Cook and Sarah his wife with their minor children from Fairmount Monthly Meeting, Indiana, held 9th month 3rd 1870.
