Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 1st month 11th 1862.
The committee which was appointed at last meeting to prepare a certificate for Noah Hiatt and family produced one which was read, approved and signed.
The Preparative Meeting informs us that Eunice Edwards, formerly Kenworthy, has accomplished her marriage contrary to discipline. Sarah Ann Mendenhall and Louisa Dunbar are appointed to write to Pleasant Plain Monthly Meeting requesting them to treat with her in our behalf and report the result of their labors to this meeting.
(P 29) Epistles have been read at this time from the Yearly Meetings of Women Friends held in New York and Baltimore which has been satisfactory to this meeting.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 2nd month 8th 1862.
The Friends appointed at last meeting to write to Pleasant Plain Monthly Meeting in regard to Eunice Edwards' case report it has been attended to.
The 1st, 2nd, and 8th queries were read in this meeting with written answers thereto which were directed to be forwarded to the ensuing Quarterly Meeting. Millicent Jones, Louisa Dunbar, Lovisa Gause and Mary C. Jones whom we appoint our representatives and direct them to report next meeting what may be given them in charge from the Quarter.
Epistles have been read at this time from the Yearly Meetings of Women Friends held in Ohio and Western which was satisfactory.
A communication was received from our last Quarterly Meeting directing this Meeting to forward its reports to Kansas Quarterly Meeting in future.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 4th month 12th 1862.
The Preparative Meeting informs this Meeting that Deborah Hamilton, formerly Holaday, has accomplished her marriage contrary to discipline. Sarah A. Mendenhall and Louisa W. Gause are appointed to treat with her on account of her deviation and report to next meeting.
The meeting then concluded.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 5th month the 10th 1862.
The 1st and 8th queries were read in this meeting with answers thereto which were directed to be forwarded to the quarterly meeting by Elizabeth Holaday, Louisa Dunbar and Lucinda Barnard whom we appoint our representatives and direct them to report to next meeting.
The committee which was appointed at last meeting to treat with Deborah Hamilton on account of her deviation report not attended to and they are continued to report to next meeting.
Louisa M. Gauze, Lucinda Barnard, Louisa Dunbar and Jane Durham are appointed in conjunction with Men Friends to organize and superintend a First-Day School and to report to this meeting in 8th month next.
(P 31) Lemuel Pemberton, having removed with his family and settled within the limits of Cottonwood Monthly Meeting, requests our certificate of their rights of membership conveyed to that Meeting. Lucinda Barnard and Mary C. Jones are appointed in conjunction with Men Friends to inquire and if they find nothing to hinder, prepare and produce one to next meeting.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 6th month the 14th 1862.
The representatives report one of them attended the Quarterly Meeting and there was nothing given them in charge.
The committee continued at last meeting to treat with Deborah Hamilton report they had an opportunity with her to good satisfaction. The meeting was united in continuing her a member. Jane Durham is appointed to inform her of the judgment of the Meeting and report to next meeting.
The committee appointed at last meeting to prepare a certificate for Lemuel Pemberton and family produced one which was read, approved and signed.
Pleasant Plain Monthly Meeting informs that they have treated with Eunice Edwards on account of her deviation and believe it would be right to continue her a member of our society with which this meeting unites.
A communication was received from South River Monthly Meeting requesting Friends of this meeting to treat with Phebe Jones, formerly Barnett, for accomplishing her marriage contrary to discipline. Lucinda Barnard and Sarah Winders are appointed to visit her on account of her deviation and report to next meeting.
(P 32) Jonathan Mendenhall requests a certificate for himself and family conveyed to Kansas Monthly Meeting of Friends. Jane Durham and Elizabeth Burks are appointed in conjunction with a like committee of Men Friends to inquire and if they find nothing to hinder, prepare and produce to next meeting.
Susannah Pemberton, having removed and settled within the limits of Cottonwood Monthly Meeting, requests our certificate of the rights of membership of herself and family conveyed to that meeting. Louisa Dunbar and Millicent Jones are appointed in conjunction with a similar committee of Men Friends to inquire and if they find nothing to hinder, prepare and produce one to next meeting.
Eunice Edwards, a member of this Meeting, having removed and settled within the limits of Pleasant Plain Monthly Meeting, requests our certificate of her right of membership conveyed to that meeting. Lovisa M. Gause and Elizabeth Burks are appointed to inquire and if they find nothing to hinder, prepare and produce one to next meeting.

The Friend appointed at last meeting to inform Deborah Hamilton of the decision of the Meeting in her case reports it has been attended to.
The committee which was appointed at last meeting to prepare a certificate for Jonathan Mendenhall and wife produced one, was read, approved and signed.
(P 33) The committee appointed at last meeting to treat with Phebe Jones for accomplishing her marriage contrary to discipline report not attended to. They are continued to report to next meeting.
The committee which was appointed to prepare a certificate for Susannah Pemberton and family produced one which was read, approved, and signed.

The queries were all read in this meeting with written answers thereto which were directed to be forwarded to the quarterly meeting by Sarah Ann Mendenhall, Lucinda Barnard and Millicent Jones whom we appoint our representatives and direct them to report to next meeting.
The committee which was continued at last meeting to treat with Phebe Jones on account of her deviation, one of them had an interview with her to good satisfaction. Sarah Ann Mendenhall is appointed to write to South River Monthly Meeting informing them of the result of their labour and report to next meeting.
The committee which was appointed in 5th month last to organize and superintend First-Day School now make the following report which was satisfactory to the meeting.
The committee on Education now make the following report which is satisfactory to the meeting.

The representatives which were appointed to attend the Quarterly Meeting report that two of them attended and there was nothing given them in charge.
The Friend appointed to write to South River in Phebe Jones case reports it has been attended to.
Sarah Ann Mendenhall, Lucinda Barnard, and Lovisa Gause are appointed to bring forward to next meeting the name of a Friend to serve the Meeting as clerk and one for an assistant the ensuing year.
The meeting then concluded.

The Friends appointed at last meeting to propose to this the name of a Friend for clerk and one for an assistant not being ready to report are continued to report to next meeting.
A certificate was received, read and accepted for Leilburn, Nathan, Lavena and Milton White from Westfield Monthly Meeting of Friends dated 7th month 31st 1862.

The committee appointed at last meeting to forward to this the name of a Friend for clerk and one for assistant propose the name of Lovisa Gause for clerk and Jane Durham for an assistant with whom the Meeting unites and they are appointed accordingly.
(P 35) Sarah Ann Mendenhall, Jane Durham and Lovisa Gause are appointed to attend the ensuing Quarterly Meeting as representatives and report to next meeting.
