Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 2nd month the 22nd 1863.

The first, second and eighth queries were read in this meeting with written answers thereto which were directed to be forwarded to the Quarterly Meeting by Sarah Ann Mendenhall and Millicent Jones whom we appoint as our representatives and direct them to report to next meeting.

A certificate was received, read and accepted for Eunice Allen and her minor children, Joseph, Lydia, Phebe, Moses and David Allen from Greenfield Monthly Meeting, Indiana dated .

(P 36) Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 3rd month 21st 1863.

The representatives which were appointed to attend the Quarterly Meeting report they did not attend on account of bad weather.

This Meeting is united in receiving Clarkson Dunbar and Mary his wife with their minor daughter Margaret as members of this Meeting, their not being able to obtain their certificate from North Carolina on account of political difficulties.

A communication was received from Kansas Quarterly Meeting of ministers and elders proposing the name of Richard Mendenhall as suitable one to stand in the station of elder with which this meeting unites and he is appointed to that station.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 4th month 18th 1863.

Sarah Winder requests her right of membership conveyed to Kansas Monthly Meeting of Friends. Phebe Jones and Sarah Ann Mendenhall are appointed to make the necessary inquiry and if they find nothing to hinder, prepare and produce a certificate to next meeting.

Phebe Jones, Louisa Dunbar and Saran Ann Mendenhall are appointed to assist in opening and superintending a first day school and to report to this meeting in the 9th month next.

(P 37) The 1st, 2nd and 8th queries were read in this meeting with written answers thereto which were directed to be forwarded to the ensuing Quarterly Meeting by Millicent Jones, Sarah Ann Mendenhall and Phebe Jones whom we appointed as representatives and direct them to report to next meeting what may be given them in charge.

The committee appointed at last meeting to prepare a certificate for Sarah Winder not being ready to report are continued to report to next meeting.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Women Friends held 7th month 18th 1863. The clerk not being present, Phebe Jones was appointed clerk for the day.

Our beloved Friend Andrew T. Evans and Sylvanus Cary attended this Meeting with minutes from Richland Monthly Meeting of Friends held in Hamilton Co., Indiana, whose company and labors were satisfactory and edifying.

All the queries were read in this meeting with written answers thereto which are directed to be forwarded to our ensuing Quarterly Meeting by Sarah Ann Mendenhall and Phebe Jones whom we appoint as our representatives and direct them to report to next meeting.

Mary Jones and Lucinda Barnard are appointed to bring forward the name of a Friend to serve this Meeting as clerk in place of Lovisa Gause and report to next meeting.

The following named Friends are appointed as representatives to attend our next Quarterly Meeting, Jane Durham and Milicent Jones, and report to next meeting.

The Friends appointed to bring forward the name of a Friend to serve as a clerk and one for assistant propose the name of Phebe Jones as Clerk and Jane Durham as assistant with whom this Meeting unites and they are appointed accordingly.

The Friends appointed at last meeting to attend Quarterly Meeting report they attended and there was nothing given them in charge.

The London General Epistle and advices were read in this meeting which was satisfactory.

Phebe Jones and Mary Jones are appointed to attend to raising funds and receiving other contributions for the aid of freed people of color and are directed to report to the Quarterly Meeting's committee.
