Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Friends held the 1st month the 17th 1874.
The representatives report they have attended to their appointment in distribution of documents.
By an extract from our last Quarterly Meeting this Meeting is directed to raise the balance yet behind, also our quota of ninety-six dollars Yearly Meeting stock which the members are directed to pay into the hands of the treasurer.
The minute on the state of society was read in this Meeting to good satisfaction.
A. W. Wasson and Jesse Beals are appointed in conjunction with a similar committee of Women Friends, join the Quarterly Meeting's committee to look after the isolated Friends.
(P 197) The clerk's time having expired, the Meeting appoints Lewis Jones for clerk and Jesse Beals for assistant.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Friends held 2nd month 29th 1874.
The first, second and eighty queries were read in this mMeting with answers from the Preparatives of which the following is a summary which we forward to the Quarterly Meeting in the hands of Allen Hayworth, A. W. Wasson and Jesse Beals whom we appoint our representatives and they are directed to report to next meeting.
The London General Epistle was read in this Meeting which was satisfactory and encouraging.
First ans. - All the meetings for worship and discipline are attended. Unbecoming behavior avoided. The hour of meeting nearly observed.
Second - As far as appears Friends are preserved in Christian love one for another. Talebearing and detraction avoided. No differences amongst us that we know of.
Eighth - Care is taken to deal with offenders as queried after.
(P 198) By an extract from Lane Preparative Meeting, it appears that Mahlon Holaday requests to become a member of the Society of Friends. After a time of deliberation the Meeting unites with his request and he is received in membership with us and Nathan Morris is appointed to inform him of the decision of this Meeting.
Lane Preparative Meeting requests that Spring Grove Monthly Meeting be held at Spring Grove and Lane alternately with which this Meeting unites and asks that the change take place in the fourth month next. The clerk is directed to forward to the ensuing Quarterly Meeting a copy of minute and report to next meeting.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Friends held 3rd month the 21st 1874.
The representatives report that none of them attended the last Quarterly Meeting and they are directed to give their reasons for their nonattendance at next Quarterly Meeting.
Nathan Morris reports complied with the directions of last meeting.
The Clerk reports that the reports did not reach the Quarterly Meeting.
The request from Lane Preparative did not reach the Quarterly Meeting.

(P 201) Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Friends held 6th month 20th 1874.
Our beloved Friend Nathan Morris, a minister with whom we have unity, laid before this Meeting a concern that had for some time rested on his mind to visit in the love of the Gospel the new settlements of Friends belonging to Springdale Quarter, also to appoint some meetings going and returning and to appoint some meetings in the limits of this Meeting. After a time of deliberation, this Meeting unites with him in his proposed visit and he is encouraged to attend thereto as best wisdom may direct.
Jesse Beals and Lewis Jones are appointed to see that Nathan Morris is suitably provided for in his proposed visit and report when complied with.
The representatives report they all attended the Quarterly Meeting but did not received anything for this Meeting.
The caretakers report they all attended the Quarterly Meeting.
The Quarterly Meeting unites with the request from Lane Preparative Meeting and directs that the change take place in the seventh month next.
(P 202) The First-Day Scripture School committee reports that the schools are still under progress to good satisfaction and we appoint Nathan Morris, Spencer Hayworth, Jesse Beals, Lewis White, A. W. Wasson and Calvin Barnard in conjunction with a similar committee of Women Friends as Sabbath School committee and they are directed to report to this Meeting in the 8th month 1875.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Friends held at Lane 7th month the 18th 1874.
Lewis Jones and Spencer Hayworth are appointed to assist the recorder in recording the births and deaths and bring forward the name of a Friend to serve as recorder and report to next meeting.
Lewis Jones and Spencer Hayworth are appointed to assist the treasurer in collecting money to pay the indebtedness of this Meeting and report to next meeting.

Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Friends held at Spring Grove 8th month the 15th 1874.
(P 203) A certificate was received, read and accepted for Isaac Arnold and Lidy his wife with their minor child, Carletta from Dragoon Monthly Meeting dated 7th month the 18th 1874. The clerk is directed to notify that Monthly Meeting of the reception of the same.
The committee appointed at last meeting to assist the recorder report not complete. They are continued and directed to report to next meeting.
The queries were read with answers from the Preparative, a summary of which we forward to the ensuing Quarterly Meeting in the hands of Isaac Arnold, Silas Cook and John B. Glyuas whom we appoint as our representatives. They are directed to report to next meeting.
The committee appointed at last meeting to assist the treasureR report not collected any money. They are directed with the addition of John B. Glyuas, to collect the rest and forward and report to next meeting.

(P 205) Spring Grove Monthly Meeting of Friends held at Lane the 9th month 19th 1874.
The representatives report they all attended but did not receive anything in charge.
The committee continued at last meeting to help the recorder in recording births and deaths and to bring forward the name of a suitable Friend to serve as recorder report not completed. They are continued and directed to report when complied with.
The committee continued at last meeting to assist the treasurer report collected one dollar. They are continued and directed to report to next meeting.
A certificate was received, read and accepted conveying to this Meeting the rights of membership of Rachel P. Stanley, M. and Penn W. Stanley from Shawnee Monthly Meeting of Friends dated 8th month the 18th 1874. The clerk is directed to notify Shawnee Monthly Meeting of the reception of the same and report to next meeting.
Nathan Moris and Lewis White are appointed in conjunction with a similar committee of Women Friends to visit Rachel Stanley and sons and notify them of the reception of a certificate conveying to this their rights of membership and report to 11th month next.
There is a complaint against Allen Hayworth for obtaining property in an unlawful way and making a contradictory statement about the same in a cross examination before a Justice of the Peace. Taken from the Minutes of Spring
Grove Preparative Meeting of Friends held 9th month the 16th 1874. Isaac Arnold and John B. Glyuas are appointed to treat with him therefore and report to next meeting.
(P 206) Lewis White and Catharine M. Johnson are appointed to prepare a sojourning minute for Jesse Beals and Mary his wife on their proposed visit to Iowa and report to next meeting.

The committee appointed to prepare a sojourning minute for Jesse Beals and wife report complied with.

One of the committee appointed to treat with Allen Hayworth report some care. They are continued to extend further care and report to next meeting.
The committee appointed to visit Rachel Stanley and sons and inform them of the reception of their rights of membership report attended to to good satisfaction.
J. R. Townsend and Elma his wife requests our certificate of their rights of membership to Timberhill Monthly Meeting. Isaac Arnold and Lewis Jones are appointed in conjunction with a similar committee of Women Friends to make the necessary inquiry; and if they find nothing to hinder, prepare and produce one to next meeting.
Isaac Arnold and A. W. Wasson are appointed to attend the ensuing Quarterly Meeting as representatives and report to next meeting.
The meeting concludes.

(P 208) The representatives report one of them attended and received our quota of the Yearly Meeting's minutes. A. W. Wasson and Nathan Morris are directed to distribute the same and report to next meeting.
The committee continued in Allen Hayworth's case report some care. They are continued to extend further care and report to next meeting.
The committee appointed to prepare a certificate for J. R. Townsend and wife produced one which the clerk is directed to sign and forward.
