So, you want Spring Grove's page to look it's best...

*Note: These instructions are for Windows 95 and Windows 98. If you use another operating system (Mac, NT, Win 3.1, etc..) These instructions will not work.

Spring Grove's Home Page

Here's how:

  1. Use Microsoft Internet Explorer. Netscape doesn't quite line items up as well as I'd like it to. It's best to have Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or later. You can download Explorer at Microsoft's Web Site: www.microsoft.com. (If you choose to download Explorer, it may take a while.)

  2. Set the screen resolution to 800x600, 16-bit color, if your monitor supports it. Here's how:
    1. Go to the Control Panel
(Click on the Start button, then select Settings, and click on Control Panel)
    Start Menu
    2. Open the display control panel by double-clicking the display icon. Display Icon
    3. In the window that opens, there are several tabs across the top (some of them are Background, Screen Saver, Settings, etc…) Find the Settings Tab and click on it.
    • Your window should look something like this:
      Display Settings
    • Make sure the Color palette section says High Color (16 bit). If it doesn't, click on the down arrow to the right and change it.
    • Make sure the Desktop area is 800 by 600 pixels. If it isn't, slide the bar to the right or left until it does.
    • Note: 1024 by 768 pixels also works, and True Color (24 bit) works nicely.

  3. Maximize the Explorer Window. Click on the maximize button in the upper-right corner of your window.
The maximize button is the middle button. buttons
